A heart appears in the window
So clear against the rain
Sliding down the dirty pane
Drawn long ago but clear now

Initials appear as my breath
Frosts the glass slowly
And I see the letters I've tried
To erase time and time before

Words I wrote before mean
Nothing to me now that I know
Just what you're capable of and
All the love you've used

Then why'd you have to go

Tears sliding down my face

Like the raindrops I watch
A clean wipe to the slate

The Bus Stop Dialogues

I. A young man at the bus stop turns to me and softly asks "Why aren't you wearing shoes?" He taps the faded leather of his suedo-skin and his eyes smile in a gentle lilt before his mouth does. I tell him that I like to feel the earth breathe. That textures keep my mind alive and ticking like a clock.
