Motionless without a heartbeat
They say she was dead anyways
Even before they could've
Done anything to save her life
The paramedics declared her dead
When they arrived on the scene
Her eyes wide open
Filled with unshed tears
They say it was an overdose
But they won't say of what
Nobody cares to say anything
About this very grave matter
Whispers pass on the breeze
Asking about the reasons why
Wondering how it happened
Spreading lies and rumors
Nobody will ever know
Why she had to die this day
Or why she left her scars for
Everyone else to hold
It wasn't supposed to
Have been this way
But it was in the end
And everyone can only close their eyes
Her friends all stand in silence
Some farther in the background
The ones who know they are to blame
For the fatal ending of her life
Every ending is a beginning
She used to say with a smile
And every beginning never has an end
It goes in circles and circles never end
That was how it was supposed to be
The circle of her life continuing along
But instead she severed a line
Leaving herself open to fly away
Her broken wings don't get her far
But they bring her far enough to heaven
That God's angels can bring her in
Tired of reality and everything else
She had friends once
The ones who left her open and bleeding
Though she bandages those wounds
And just kept going on, never letting on
Her hands shook with the weight of
Everything she held inside
Trying to forgive
But at the same time never moving on
They always came back
Asking for her to help them
When they were the ones who cut her into pieces
She didn't know what to say anymore
Her long December always kept on
Never letting up on her
From rain to snow to hail pounding her body
She always kept her head as high as she could
She always tried to forgive
In the end it wasn't enough for her
To say 'okay' one more time
It was all over far before
I think I understand now
Why she had to leave this world
Leave it all behind
As she took flight on broken wings
They say she was dead anyways
Even before they could've
Done anything to save her life

Literature
paper hearts and ashes.
you always cut out paper hearts and then ripped them up.
i asked why, once.
you said, "to get the anger out."
and i could only wonder if you would ever do the same to my heart.
--
you liked to scar my wrists with your too-sharp nails. you said you were 'making your mark' on me.
but if you could only see the marks you've left on the inside.
--
you taught me this:
ashes are like people.
you can try to keep them, but in the end, the wind always carries them away.
Literature
Confusion of the Soul
Confusion
All around me,
this world of rage and sin,
Engulfs. Overwhelms.
And I am forced to retreat further within.
Literature
nervosa.
an empty girl with
empty eyes
and a sandpaper
smile.
her meals never
stop
because they never
really
begin.
the mirror defies
her thin wrists
and ankles
and suddenly,
she's not hungry
anymore.
